Animals

My figures have a cuddly, chubby quality, my people, even old men, look like children, and kittens and puppies look sweet enough to give you diabetes. I like to draw animals with some grit and texture and place them in unlikely situations. The day I met the Bronze Rhino on the Plaza at Musee D’Orsay, I had a moment of perfect happiness because:

I was in Paris, with my husband.
It was a chilly day but the sun was warm on my face.
In a few minutes we would meet friends and go out for a nice lunch.
Maybe most important, I had an idea for a new series of drawings percolating in my brain.
