I love Christmas, especially the music, even muzak in the stores; even when it begins before Hallowe’en.  For years I’ve reveled in the images those songs bring to my mind and a few months ago I started to put them down on paper with the thought of gathering them all into a book.  Why twelve?  12 months, 12 disciples, 12 Tribes of Israel, 12 Days of Christmas. It felt like the right number,  both abundant and manageable.​​​This is my way of sharing the joy I feel in the songs of Christmas.
